Hi! I'm Jamee! I live here on a small acreage in Forrest, MB just NE of Brandon, MB. I have one son and a funny farm yard full of animals. I have been athletic all my life, and like most Canadian children, sports like soccer, hockey, and basketball were just some of the games I played growing up. When I was in junior high, I discovered rugby, and from that moment I was hooked. I played rugby representing Manitoba, U18-U20 Canada, and was fortunate to be a starting second row at St. Francis Xavier (Nova Scotia, Canada). I was a full time student athlete for four years, winning three silver medals and one gold U Sport championship.  I know from experience, what it takes to be a high-level athlete. Now a days, I coach rugby more than play, but I still have yet to formally retire. I have transitioned to triathlon, competing in sprint, olympic (Worlds, Switzerland 2019), and a half ironman 70.3 (Calgary 2024).

While playing rugby, studying to obtain my four-year degree in Kinesiology at St. FX, I was able to obtain my Certified Personal Training Certificate (CPT) with CSEP (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology - Certified Personal Trainer) after pursuing so many courses through education.

I have been a certified personal trainer since 2010 and have been working with clients in Manitoba 1:1, and in small group settings sine 2012.

In 2015 I went back to university to complete my after degree in Physical Education and I continue to take education credits every year in order to maintain my CSEP-CPT certification. I have taken courses such as Joga (yoga designed for athletes/active individuals), Pre and Postnatal, Nutrition, FRC Mobility, Re Conditioning HQ, and Navina Thai Yoga Massage.

With over ten years of experience in the personal training field and over 20 years of experience as an athlete; my passion in life is to teach individuals how to live a healthy, active but balanced lifestyle. My goals for my clients are to show you:

  • How to find activity you enojoy and stay active in your daily life.
  • How to be mindful of what, when and how you are eating.
  • Ultimately, how to listen to your body/mind and how to connect mind to muscle through movement.

I know that there isn't a “quick fix” but rather small simple changes over long periods that in return make the overall health and lifestyle more balanced.

If you are wanting to work with me, check out my training rates and online packages, then give me a shout!
